June Favourites
Hello my lovelies. I have a lot of favourites for the month of June and surprisingly there is none beauty products for this month. I haven’t been buying makeup products lately because I wanted to finish up all of my makeup before buying new ones as I do not keep products longer than 3 years because I do not want anything bad to happen to my skin just in case the product expires. So ladies, go through your makeup and get rid of the old ones for the sake of your skin.
Highlight of this month would be that my boyfriend is home from the UK! I am still hyped up about it because I didn’t see him for almost a year. He studies there and will be finishing his Master next year so we have another pain-in-the-ass year apart.
I have been using contact lens everyday now since I broke my glasses a few weeks ago. I ran out of lens solution so I went to the drugstore and picked up this Bausch + Lomb ReNu Sensitive solution and I love it ever since! You might think that all multipurpose solutions are the same but they are not.
Some solutions are for cleansing, some are for storing, and some, like the one I have, is for sensitive eyes. I don’t actually have sensitive eyes but I notice that with this solution, my eyes do not sting when I put my lens on. Some other brands sting my eyes just for a few seconds before it goes away.
I will definitely repurchase this and I also have the travel size one in my bag just in case I need to rewet my lens.
I am falling in love all over again with books and reading. You can see my from my previous posts for the past week that I have been posting a lot about books and how I finally got out of my reading slump that I had been struggling with for the past two years.
In yesterday’s post (deleted), I talked about Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick which I have finished earlier today and I’m now reading the third book, Silence. However, the book that made it to my favourites this month is City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare, the sixth book in The Mortal Instruments series which my boyfriend got me last week. My TMI series is now completed!
For TV series, I’m loving Containment and Cold Case. However, they canceled Containment so we’re looking at one-season-only show because honestly the network sucks for canceling good tv shows. It happens, though.
Containment is about a flu epidermic that is spreading wildly so the authority puts up a container barrier around the area and basically imprisoning citizens in it. No one can get in or out.
Cold Case is about a homicide detective investigating cold cases. If you do not know what cold case is, it’s an unsolved criminal investigation that can go back to years and years ago. I really like it. Anything involving homicides and crimes are my cup of tea.
So I watched a Taiwanese drama right after I posted my May favourites so I cannot include it in that post although technically I watched it in May but I’m just going to feature it in this month’s favourites. The drama I watched was Loving, Never Forgetting starring Jerry Yan and Liya Tong. I lovelovelove Jerry Yan. Here’s the synopsis:
She first met him when the blooming lotus flower was falling, only to have to part ways. Years later, when they reunited, Li Zhong Mou (Jerry Yan) had all but forgotten of Wu Tong’s (Liya Tong) existence, leaving her forlorn, except the only thing he wants now from her is the guardianship to their son. 7 years long years together, can they fix their broken relationship?
I kid you not, I feel like watching a fanfiction straight out of asianfanfics.com. THE FEELS, OH MY GOSH. I don’t know how to explain it. I feel like killing a few of the mean characters, I feel like hugging Jerry Yan because he’s so hot, and I also feel like I’m going to rewatch it after this. It’s just that good!
For music, it has to be this boyband playlist that I’ve been listening to for weeks. I mentioned it in my previous Erin Talks post. I also like Little Mix – Love Me Like You. I don’t have much music favourites this month because of that stupidly good boyband playlist. I love 90’s boybands a lot. You can follow me on Spotify: Syazana Syazreen Azmir. I follow back because I love seeing what everyone’s listening to.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this month’s favourites although there isn’t anything new in here that I haven’t talked about in my previous posts. If you’re keeping up with all of my posts and you notice every detail that I talked about, I just wanna say thank you so much for spending your time reading what I write. 🙂
