My 2027 Muji notebook lineup
I can be a little bit (okay, very much) indecisive with my planning medium, going back and forth between paper and digital like my life depends on it. I started digital planning in 2021 and since then, I have tried many, many variations of digital planner while also getting myself a new paper notebook biannually and loads of shiny black pens.
I wasn’t up-to-date with the release of Muji 2027 planners, however, a few weeks ago I visited Muji with my mom after her hospital appointment and saw that there were still so many of their new planners available at the IOI City Mall branch. After about thirty minutes (much to my dismay because I really would like to spend more time there LOL), I came out with two new notebooks for the upcoming new year.

For list-making and daily journalling
The Muji Pocketnote featured in my last notebook lineup is getting its own 2.0 version. I love the notebook and the silky smooth paper although I kinda wish it comes with a hard cover version or at least a transparent cover just because it’s flimsy and putting it in your bag will 100% ruin the cover. I just have some stickers and washi tape on the edges of the book to minimise the creasing albeit futile. I’ll be using it for list-making and daily journalling. Nobody told me that journalling on a smaller notebook is way easier and less stressful than journalling on an A5 paper. You have lesser space to work with but hey, it works if you only have five minutes to jot down whatever at the end of the day.
For monthly and weekly planning

Muji offers a wide selection of planners, and mine especially is the Vertical Monthly/Weekly Planner in size B6. Its monthly and weekly calendars run from Dec 2026 to January 2028 so you’re getting 14 months worth of planning within a planner. It comes with a transparent cover and a free sheet of stickers which includes public holiday stickers in Malaysia. I cannot wait for December to come because I want this planner in my bag, ALWAYS. I have used vertical weekly in the past and loved it, so I’m quite excited to be using it again. I love the structure of a vertical layout especially when it comes pre-timed so I can easily jot down what I’m doing, my meals, and everything pertaining to my day. Did I mention that it is a B6 size planner? It’s much smaller than the A5 I’m used to so this will fit better in my bag. It also lays flat so it will make writing much more comfortable when you’re left-handed like me.
