My Blogging Goals for 2017

blogging goals
I can’t believe that it’s the month of December already!

And I honestly can’t believe that I’m turning 22 years old in less than 4 months. Say what now? 22? When I was 13 I used to think that being young adult is the prime time of one’s life but here I am, 4 months shy of turning 22 with nothing but a blog and only one 10 ringgit bill in my wallet.

Anyway, I thought I would do a blogging goals for the year 2017 to see what I want to achieve next year. It’s nothing fancy or unachievable, really. I know what I’m capable of and I don’t want to work too hard just to reach my illogical target. So here goes nothing:

Go self-hosted

CHECKED! I planned on migrating next year but I did it spontaneously last week and it’s the best thing I could ever do for my blogging career. (I’m feelin’ fancy with a self-hosted blog so Imma call it a career just because.)

Hit 1,000 followers on Bloglovin’

I reached 600 followers on Bloglovin’ a few days ago, yay! I’m hoping I can reach 1,000 followers by the end of 2017. I just wanna say thank you to everyone who followed me and read my blog and loved it and supported me from Blogger to WordPress. I love y’all, don’t forget that. Just remember that if I were as rich as Kylie Jenner I would have treated y’all on a shopping spree.

Use less stock photos, more real photos

I wanna put my camera to a good use by using less stock photos and more my own I-shoot-it-with-great-natural-lighting-I’m-a-pro-blogger-now-where’s-my-marble-prop-at photos. I have a feeling that I might do a lot more photoshoot with my white floral bed sheet as back drop.. #neverwashingmybedsheetagain

One theme purchase

Since WordPress theme is not cheap and I’m still a novice at tweaking the theme (what is .php bytheway?), I will only be buying one theme next year preferably in November when I have to renew my hosting for another year. Not two!! Not three!! Just one.

Blog everyday for a month

I really wanna blog everyday for a month but I don’t wanna do the usual 30 day blog challenge ’cause that’s easy you only need to answer questions and voila you’re done for 30 days. I wanna post quality contents  everyday for 30 days. That would be sick!

Get more loyal readers

You can have 100,000 followers on Bloglovin’ and it still won’t matter as much as having 100 loyal readers. Not everyone who follows you will read your blog — sometimes they only want a follow back. So my goal is to get as many loyal readers as I can. I love inspiring people. It makes me happy when someone does something that they have never done or scared to do before because they see that if I’m able to do it, then they can do it too.
