A Peek Inside My Makeup Organiser
I can’t believe I brought this along to my parents’ house for semester break because I could not part with this entire setup for 2 weeks and a half. Hi guys, and today I’m going to show you where I store my makeup. This is pretty much my entire makeup collection, however, I still have products that I don’t store in here like a bunch of lip products, single eyeshadows, highlighter, mascaras, and brow products.
I’m trying to keep my makeup collection to a minimal just because I know I won’t be able to finish them all before they expire and makeup in Malaysia is really expensive. That L’oreal foundation you’re seeing in the picture above is RM99 which is equivalent to USD23 for a drugstore brand. When did drugstore products get so expensive?
This makeup organiser is no way Muji ones. Muji’s are expensive and I can’t see myself spending so much money on makeup storage. I got this storage at MR DIY for RM43 (USD10) which is a steal! I’m so happy that I got it and many of my friends and my housemates’ friends asked me where did I get it. It’s not as sleek-looking as Muji’s but hey, they look pretty much the same except for the quality.
On the top part, I have Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation, Maybelline Fit Me! Matte + Poreless foundation, L’oreal Infallible 24H Stay Fresh foundation, Rachel K CC cream, MAC’s serum and brightening lotion, and a MAC hydrating mist. I also have 12 of my favourite lip products, 6 MAC bullet lipsticks, 2 MAC Mineralize Rich lipsticks, 1 MAC Lip Glass, a liquid lipstick from Elianto, and 2 NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm and San Paulo.
I also have an eyelash curler, a brow gel, and 2 mascaras from Essence and Silky Girl. Drugstore mascaras are so good! I store my eyeliners, lipliner, a Kat Von D liquid lipstick, a Colourpop liquid lipstick, and a brow pencil beside where I store my mascaras. That bulky white compact is a Laneige BB Cushion which is my favourite base product ever with an Essence hydrating primer and a concealer from Maybelline.
In the top drawer, I have an ELF contouring blush and bronzer, theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer, a Sleek Storm eyeshadow palette which is my favourite palette ever, and an eyeshadow and blush palette by Estée Lauder that contains my favourite blush of all-time. I also have a L’oreal blush, a glowing foundation by a local makeup brand called Farra Beauty, The Body Shop born lippy in strawberry, and a MAC silicone-based primer that I got a sample of which I’m glad I didn’t spend my money on a full size because I think it breaks me out.
In the middle drawer, I have a NYX Full Throttle eyeshadow quad which I highly recommend! I’m thinking of getting the other Full Throttle quads because it’s a bang for your buck. I have a Sephora Artist’s blush, an empty glitter’s foundation, a sharpener for my pencil product, a NYX concealer in a jar, and 3 Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze, Tough as Taupe, and Inked in Pink, and an Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder aka the only powder I have. (I broke my Bourjois powder and my mom won’t give me her Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. Gaaaaah.)
In the last drawer, I have an Anastasia Beverly Hills Ultimate Glow Glow Kit and theBalm Nude Dude eyeshadow palette. I honestly can’t store anything else here because it’s such a shallow drawer. I hope you enjoyed this post and let me know what you think in the comments below. I don’t have a huge makeup collection but I’m satisfied with what I have no matter the size and it’s very organised, too, so I know where everything is. Although I do appreciate a Laura Mercier powder and a Zoeva eyeshadow palette to add to my little collection…. or the new Urban Decay Naked Heat palette. Just saying.
