A Fresh New Start.

My blog has been a part of me for a little over a decade. From a 13-year-old high school student, to being a university student, to a trainee teacher, to someone’s fiancée and now, a wife — I’ve gone through it all with my blog. My blog saw all the hardships I’ve encountered the past decade although not everything was documented here just because I wanted to keep this space as positive as possible. I wanted it to cheer other people and not make it a medium of gaining sympathies from mere strangers on the internet. I really, truly enjoyed my time blogging and writing to my heart’s content because I like sharing everything with the world or at least, with everyone who stumbles upon my blog intentionally or unintentionally.

Entering the new decade, I feel like my blog hasn’t grown out of my past self. I wanted it to reflect who I am right now — a woman who has gone through earlier phases in life so I am now at the peak of life — I am now a wife, possibly will be a mother in shaa Allah if God still wants to bless me with fertility after my miscarriage, and also a woman with a career dependently or independently although I still think that my blog still counts as a career because it is not easy to maintain a blog. It’s not just writing and hitting that Publish button. It’s so much more than that. I’ve sacrificed time and money for my blog and I haven’t regretted it one bit.

For every cent I spent on my blog, I made multiple cents from it and for that, I am eternally grateful that I decided to start a blog during that end-of-year school holiday in 2008. I’ve met so many people through my blog, ones that are my friends whom I share stories with. I’ve made thousands from my blog. Money that I either spend on a new theme upgrade, WordPress yearly hosting fee, or just to succumb to my desire of buying things I want. Therefore, I will never, ever, think of abandoning this blog. I may not have as much time to spend blogging leisurely but I will always keep this blog alive until I can’t anymore.

Say hello to the brand new little sips of tea.

Why little sips of tea.?

Many times I found myself with a cup of tea while writing on my blog. I take little sips as I type away on my MacBook until the very last drop of the tea. Hence, the name little sips of tea came to life. It’s what I’m having while I spend time writing on my blog and I couldn’t be prouder of it.

Of course it’s going to take a while to adjust to the new name but I’m really loving it so far. I no longer want to be the centre front of my blog. I want to be the person behind it without hiding behind a keyboard and keeping my identity anonymous.

little sips of tea. is me and I am flippin’ excited of this rebranding.
