It’s 11:10 PM. Fuzzy slip-ons warming my cold feet. My husband’s alma mater’s sweater donning my pyjama-clad body. Cherry claw clip holding my hair. Suits season 8 playing on an iPad. Planner and notebooks scattered around. Soft, warm light from a desk lamp. WordPress dashboard waiting for a new post. Lip balm and hand lotion are situated on a bubble trinket dish. A wax candle is burning, a subtle tobacco vanilla scent. AirPods in my ears. Iced butter latte in a purple glass jar that sits on top of a handmade coaster. A Hydro Flask tumbler filled with ice water. At this moment, time stops. I’m in my elements. An ethereal bliss.
