Why I Have Been Slacking on Blogging

This is actually a funny post to write ’cause I’m trying to justify the lack of contents in my blog for the past few weeks. Don’t get me wrong — I visit my blog everyday and I reply to comments and emails everyday but I literally have no time to properly write a blog post because:

Malay dramas

Oh my god. Ohmygod ohmygod ohmygod. You don’t even wanna know how many times I repeat watch 7 Hari Mencintaiku. If you’re an international reader of my blog, it’s a novel-based Malay drama that follows the novel to the T. I’m very picky when it comes to watching Malay dramas and it’s actually hard to find a drama that I would spend hours watching but 7 Hari Mencintaiku takes the cake.

I can spend a week finishing two seasons of tv shows while still manage to have 5 posts up but I couldn’t do that with Malay dramas. There’s just something with quality Malay dramas that get you sucked into its world and what’s a blog anyway?

I NEED A KHUZAIRI IN MY LIFE.

For some reasons Khuzairi reminds me of my boyfriend. Y’know, the whole lot of liking a girl since she was 13 years old and not being able to move on or find another ’cause ‘she’s the one.’

I have all the good blog post ideas planned for next year

I have a few blog posts that I have brainstormed on that were supposed to be published this week but I thought that I would save them for 2017. I need my blogging mojo back so I can start writing my upcoming posts but I know I couldn’t get it back until after I move on from binge-watching on dramas.

There’s no sun!

I forgot the last time I turn on the air-conditioner because it’s been raining 5 days out of the week and the sweater weather is perfect to get back in bed and take a 5 hour nap during the day which I find myself doing a lot of.

The sun is nowhere to be found so I can’t take out my camera to take photos for my blog. I know I promised that I would use more photos I take myself and less stock photos but dear weather, please cooperate with me, will ‘ya? A girl has photos to take for her blog.

I’m not in the mood to write

Like I mentioned in this post, the first rule of writing is asking yourself if you’re in the mood to write and the answer is I’m not. I have a lot of ideas but my heart’s not into writing right now. Blogging is not my job and it’s also something that I wouldn’t force myself doing because I’m afraid that I would hate doing it once I start to feel like it’s a chore. I enjoy blogging as a hobby and I like to keep it that way.

So these are the reasons why there’s a major lack of contents in my blog. One more reason that is worth mentioning is I found a new theme that I like so I’ve been spending a lot of my time drooling over it. I know that I promised to only buy a theme if I completed my 2017 book challenge but I’m not so sure if I can wait that long. I’m in love with my current theme but I can’t stop falling in love with another. Tsk.

  4. Khuzairi khuzairi haha. I tried to not to think of him but he is just a sweetheart haha.
    And yes to no sunlight! I had a hard time taking photos too. Sometimes there is sun, but after 1 hour, the sun is gone.
    For 2017, i’ve got the plan but no time to brainstorm bcs i got no mood to do that for now haha

  5. I always find it hard to blog around this time of the year, but it’s also good sometimes to take a little step back from it and recharge when you’re ready to. The weather is such a pain at the moment as well. Bring on the sunshine x

  10. I hope you get your blogging mojo back! Blogging can be such a hassle if you’re not in the right headspace or feel motivated. You’re right, it should be fun and something you should do when you’re in the mood otherwise it can show in your writing!

  13. Sadly, I don’t have any planned blog post for 2017. All I’m thinking about is about work . Boringgggg me . I miss my blog much too. I don’t even have time to visit my blog everyday . Bila cuti , I rather choose to lay down on my bed for the whole day than open my laptop and blog because my eyes really tired after a week tengok pc from 9am – 12 midnight.

    Anddd , omg !!! I like syukri yahya too tapi tak tgk lagi drama tueeee =( and my friends ramai yang bgtau that drama is the best even my guys friend also watched that drama .

      1. Tak tahuuuu… bank negara kata setahun. Menangis . Hope management immediately buat something so that we can get back our normal life .
