April Favourites | It’s been a long time!

It has been a good year since my previous favourites post (had to check my blog archives to be sure lol). I am back now, hopefully be doing this every month without failure and procrastination. Soz. The past months have been all about me trying to find suitable products to fix my skin and I can dare say that my skin is getting better! It’s nowhere near flawless yet but with a few more products that I have yet to buy, I am pretty sure that I can achieve my old skin back. Fingers crossed! Anyway, let’s get into my favourites for the month of April.

Gosh, I don’t know where to start but I guess I’ll talk about the only makeup item that I’ve been loving (and wearing!) throughout April. It’s the Silkygirl Matte Fever Lipcolor Balm in Siren. Oh my god — the colour is beautiful. It’s a really nice red for my skin tone but I’m sure it’ll look good on everyone. Very lightweight and long-lasting. It’s a matte lipbalm that is super opaque and doesn’t dry out your lips. Plus, it’s super cheap, too.

Next is Enchanteur perfume in Mon Amie. I love using drugstore perfumes for everyday use (read: going to class) because I can go through a bottle a month and won’t feel guilty for emptying a cheap perfume. The smell is really good and it lasts a whole day too.

I talked about using Bioré UV Perfect Protect Milk Moisture sunscreen not long ago so you can check out that post to know more about it. So far, I’m really loving that sunscreen and I will definitely repurchase it.

I have been searching high and low for a good topical acne gel as any OXY products don’t work on me — and they suck, BTW — so when I tried Cosmoderm Tea Tree Oil Anti Blemish X-Press I was really happy because it worked! However, it is not advisable to use this along with any scrub as using both at the same time can dry out your skin and excessive use of tea tree oil-based products tend to leave you with dry patches like it did mine. But it’s a good one, though!

This next one is probably my most treasured skincare product forever. It’s the Bougas Beauty Serum that I haven using and loving very dearly for the past 3 months. I went through bottles of it because it fixes my skin. I am not joking, if I had known that this serum would help my skin I would have purchased it a really long time ago! I’m also selling this serum because I believe that it can help people out there who are having skin issues.

I mentioned that using acne gel and scrub at the same time can result in dry patches so I have been battling with dry patches for a few weeks before I tried Hada Labo Gokujyun Hydrating Lotion and good lord this stuff is so good. My dry patches went away in less than a week so I’m really happy about that! My skin feels super soft and I would recommend this product to anyone with dry skin. I bought the sample size because I wasn’t sure if it would work on me so I am definitely going to purchase the full size once I go through this one.

The last favourite is my workspace. I wrote about it here if you fancy a read. I spend a lot of time on my desk and I just love having a space where I feel most productive and inspired. I also changed my blog look (no, I did not buy a new theme although I have been itching to purchase a new one) which I’m quite satisfied with. I hope you enjoyed this post and my new blog look!
