My Everyday Skincare Routine

For someone who buys skincare products on a regular basis, I sure am the worst at updating about products I have tried or currently trying in my routine. Yikes. I found some hots and nots, but overall I’m pretty happy with products I bought. My last skincare routine was published on December 2016 — Three whole years without sharing an updated routine on my blog. I can pretty much say that I have learned a lot about skincare over the years and am now using products that my skin needs. My updated skincare routine BIORÉ Cleansing Oil The Biore cleansing oil works as my makeup remover and also my first cleanser in the morning. I was a huge fan of Heimish All Clean Balm but it completely stripped the oil on my face leaving me with a super dry skin. With this one, it is not as oil-stripping as the Heimish balm. I love using it in the morning as a cleanser and at night to remove the makeup and SPF I have during the …

How Much Did I Spend This Week? | 30 Dec – 5 Jan

I’ve never done this type of post before but just now I had a look through my planner where this year I started recording my spendings by week and I thought maybe it could be a great series for my blog. I recorded everything to the cent so I’m being transparent and 100 percent honest here. One thing that you should know is I’m a housewife (with a blog LOL) so I do not spend money on food or groceries because my husband pays for that – obviously – but I hope you still find it interesting! 30 Dec – 5 Jan expenditure RM30.00 Extra treatment for my facialMy husband bought a 12-time facial package that he had already paid for but since I needed extra treatment/ampoule to treat my skin, each time I go for a facial I need to pay extra 30 ringgit for the extra treatment. RM54.80 Neelofa Young & Glow Liquid LipstickMy makeup artist for my wedding reception back in November used Neelofa Y & G liquid lipstick in Lotus on …

A Fresh New Start.

My blog has been a part of me for a little over a decade. From a 13-year-old high school student, to being a university student, to a trainee teacher, to someone’s fiancée and now, a wife — I’ve gone through it all with my blog. My blog saw all the hardships I’ve encountered the past decade although not everything was documented here just because I wanted to keep this space as positive as possible. I wanted it to cheer other people and not make it a medium of gaining sympathies from mere strangers on the internet. I really, truly enjoyed my time blogging and writing to my heart’s content because I like sharing everything with the world or at least, with everyone who stumbles upon my blog intentionally or unintentionally. Entering the new decade, I feel like my blog hasn’t grown out of my past self. I wanted it to reflect who I am right now — a woman who has gone through earlier phases in life so I am now at the peak of …

10 Most Visited Posts on My Blog

Contrary to popular belief, I don’t think your blog stat makes or breaks your blog which is why I rarely look at the numbers (stats can be depressing at times so I rather not look at them all that much). However, I do enjoy seeing which of my many posts I had published all these years that are visited daily, be it from Google search results or just you lot who rummage through my blog from end to end. Here’s the 10 most visited posts! 10 Most Visited Posts Aiken Tea Tree Oil Spot Away Pore Refining Toner Review I think one of the reasons why this is my most visited post of all-time was because once upon a time on Twitter, this toner was a cult favourite as the best toner for oily and acne skin for under RM10, I think it was around RM5 a few years back. However, I do not think that it’s a good toner now because of the alcohol content. It worked on my sister and her acne, though. …

2019 in Bullet Point

Can we take a pause on time because I can’t believe that we’re at the end of another decade! OMG OMG OMG. 2019 has been great to me except for a few misfortunes here and there but hey, that’s life. My life progress has been stagnant for the past few years but this year I really went all out with my life. Okay — it would have been better if I passed my driving test (read: I failed) back in October but other than that, everything else is great. Kind of. Let’s review my year in bullet point. January My January has been dry but I did go for food tasting with my husband, then, fiancé, and his mom. I booked a hall as well! My third month working in a clinic before I went for internship. February I moved house after 18 years. Super saddening but it was bound to happen anyway. I started using the life-changing Kayman Beauty Coalface Soap. It was da bomb! I went for marriage course. I quitted working at …
