things to be happy for this week Call Upon Him by Mizi Wahid A few weeks ago my husband came back after work with this book saying that he bought it for me. To be honest, I am not a fan of non-fiction books for obvious reasons. I thought that they were boring. But this one, in particular, talks about steps to strengthen our trust in Allah through our Du’a. I haven’t even halfway through (don’t really have time to read aka mom of two under two tsk) this book but I already love it. It reminds me of my 20 year-old self making Du’a for what I have right now. The author has two other books in this series called The Art of Letting God and You are Loved which I will be buying soon. My 2022 digital planner setup One word: obsessed. Yup. Digital planning is one of the highlights of my 2021 and I am super excited to be planning with my 2022 digital planner from DashPlanner. I have a whole planner/note-taking …

A Victoria’s Secret haul

Last weekend, I went to GPO, one of the premium outlets here in Malaysia with my two babies. We brought along my sister who has been helping me in taking care of the kids while my husband is out working. I bought a little something-something from Victoria’s Secret during their Black Friday sale. Beach Flower fragrance mist A floral mist that smells so lovely, perfect for the summer (it’s summer in Malaysia all year-round lol.) Vanilla Swirl body lotion If you want to be smelling like cupcakes, this is it. It’s sweet, it’s delicious! Honey Wash nourishing gel body wash I haven’t tried it yet, but it contains pure honey + shea butter which I’m sure will work amazing on my skin. Coco Wash moisturizing cream body wash A subtle scent of coconut that is not too overpowering.

The Birth Story of Elena Nour Sofea

I can’t believe I’m writing a second birth story post in the span of a year. It’s insane how I was pregnant twice in this pandemic because that wasn’t easy at all and I was scared for my health the entire time that I basically spent every day of my pregnancy just cooped up at home. Anyway, I gave birth to a baby girl on October 1st via elective caesarean section. Since my first delivery was a C-section and the spacing between the first and second is just a year, the doctor advised me for a C-section to prevent any complication that would arise if I went for vaginal delivery. I straightaway gave an okay because I didn’t want to go through labour contraction haha. September 30th, 2021 (37 weeks 6 days pregnant) I checked into the hospital around 3 pm. My Covid PCR test came back negative and so did my husband’s RTK test. We left my son with my mother-in-law because obviously with Covid and everything you can only have one visitor/caretaker and …

New & Improved little sips of tea

Ever since the Pipdig scandal in 2019, I haven’t been quite satisfied with my blog theme. Pipdig themes were my favourite because they were so easy to customise and since then, I have purchased 10 more themes from various designers but none of them came close to Pipdig – until now. Welcome to the new and improved little sips of tea! This is the 15th iteration of my blog and I am hopeful that this will be the last for a long, long time. Let’s see what’s new! Quick reads Quick reads is a category I’m bringing to my blog consisting of posts that go as long as the length of the featured image, like this post! It’s quick – take 15 minutes to write, something that I can post and go. Currently… I’ve always wanted my blog to be a one stop centre for everything me where I can show what I’m reading, listening, and loving using widgets. Improved design I am in love with the layout and how everything just flow together. I …

4 Things I Use My iPad Air 4 For

Can I just say that the iPad is the greatest piece of technology created after the MacBook? It’s game-changing, life-saving, and for me it’s a hybrid between the iPhone and MacBook – larger than the iPhone but small enough to do some of the things I do on the MacBook. It can’t replace a laptop by any means but it sure is a luxury to have. I bought the iPad Air (4th generation) earlier this year and it has been my best friend ever since. I remember not touching my MacBook for a week because I was hooked on my iPad. Moreover, last month I splurged on an Apple Pencil after dropping the cheap stylus pen I got on Shopee and boy oh boy my iPad setup is done and I just love how easy it is to charge the pencil. It sticks to the side of my iPad to charge so I don’t have to worry about not having any charge on my pencil when I want to use it. Here’s some of the …

Friday Favourites 13

things to be happy for this week I’ve given birth! Hello! I’m a momma of two now! I had elective caesarean section on Friday, October 1st and at 11.20 am, my baby girl is born! We named her Elena Nour Sofea and she’s the cutest thing ever. It’s so easy to take care of her, she rarely cries and she sleeps through the night (well, almost). Anyway, stay tune for my birth story which will be up soon, hopefully. Starbucks cup I love my Starbucks cup as seen on this post! It’s not original from Starbucks or anything. I got it from Shopee and I love it because 1. it’s huge (I think the capacity is 770ml?) and 2. the confetti bits on the cup is actually white that will turn colourful when you put cold drinks inside. I love it! BENKS iPad Air case My brother kindly got me a new iPad case and I’ve been obsessed with it ever since. It’s magnetic which is very very posh, by the way, because it sticks …
