Velvet Vanity Cosmetics Glossy Glo Lip Oil Review

Velvet Vanity Cosmetics is a locally owned beauty company here in Malaysia and I’m always, always up to trying local products because it’s 2020 and we have come a long way from those shady, ready-to-label, wholesale-buy-in-bulk skincare and cosmetics that seemed to take over the beauty community some years ago. Velvet Vanity is famous for their liquid lipsticks but sadly to say I haven’t tried any of it yet. The Pucker for You (Glossy Glo Lip Oil) is my entrée into the brand and I’m really excited because I love everything glossy. The GGLO is a lip care for chapped lips, non-sticky, works like skincare and gives you a glossy finish. Kind of like a treatment lip gloss. It retails for RM49.90 for 2 glosses in the shade crystal clear (self-explanatory, it’s a clear gloss) and hotshot (with a hint of pink). Each gloss is 2.2ml. This product is cruelty-free, vegan, paraben-free, and fragrance-free! The ingredient: Poyglyceryl-2 Isostearate/Dimer Dilinoleate Copolymer, Dimer Dilinoleyl Dimer Dilinoleate, C15-19 Alkane, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran …

things to be happy for this week Ana Tomy planner I talked about my new planner a lot on Instagram stories and I know some of you lot are getting tired of my always talking about it but it is really helping me plan my day. I’m in my third month of using it religiously everyday and I don’t think I’ll be going back to bullet journaling. I will have a whole post dedicated to it so watch this space. The planner that I have is called Melon but it’s currently out of stock but here’s the link to other planners if you fancy. Muji photo album I have been struggling to store my stickers for the longest time, but a few weeks ago I went to Muji and saw their photo album and thought that it’s the perfect size to store my stickers. I spent a few hours disassembling and putting the stickers in the photo album and I love the result! It’s easier to browse through my stickers so I can actually use …

Shop My Stash #1

I gotta admit, I am one of those people who get sucked into new products I accumulate that I completely forgot about my old ones, resulting in them not being use for months — or even years — but it’s all coming to an end now. I started using my old products again and I can’t believe why I stopped using them because they’re that good. Here’s to finding little joys in old products! Maybelline Superstay 24H Full Coverage Foundation I remember loving this one over Fit Me foundation matte + poreless, and I honestly can’t remember why I stopped using this. It’s almost as good as my Estée Lauder Double Wear although the Double Wear gives me a little bit more flawless finish. However, for the price, I can’t complain. It’s 1/4 of the price of Double Wear and if you’re one to wear medium to full coverage foundation to work or class everyday, then I highly recommend this. However, I did get one or two tiny bumps every time I wore this foundation. …

2nd Trimester Pregnancy Update

WELL, HELLO THERE, HUMANS. I have been missing for a really long time and I have no one to blame but myself. I have just been busy with life in general and I just didn’t have the time to blog. I did write a blog post a few weeks ago but the visuals aren’t ready so the post has just been sitting on my draft for a long while… Anyway, welcome to my 2nd trimester pregnancy update. I entered 3rd trimester a couple weeks ago so this post is long overdue. Whoops. Due to Covid-19, I spent the whole 2nd trimester stuck at home with my husband who was also working from home. It was fun although I could enjoy a once-a-week trip to the mall… just saying. What happened in 2nd trimester? I really enjoyed my 2nd trimester of pregnancy. I have more energy. My morning sickness was gone, and I didn’t find myself taking lots of naps like I used to in first trimester. Overall, 2nd trimester felt normal but with a baby …

3W Clinic Intensive UV Sunblock Cream Review

I have been a lifelong fan of the Bioré UV Perfect Protect Milk Moisture and along the way I have tried a couple more sunscreens but none have tackled my heart as much as the Bioré one did. But I’ve heard glowing reviews among skincare enthusiasts that the 3W Clinic Intensive UV Sunblock Cream is super good so I just had to give it a try. I bought mine on Shopee from a shop called ippuni for RM12.60 but you can always get it cheaper. Here’s the link to the product. It comes in a 70 ml tube with a nozzle cap that disperse just the right amount of product, not too much and not too little. The ingredient: Water, EthylhexylMethoxycinnamate, Titanium Oxide, 1.3-Butylene Glycol, 4-Methylbenzylidene, Camphor, Dicapryl Carbonate, Beeswax, Cetearyl Alcohol, Polyglyceryl-3Methylglucose Distearate, Stearyl Alcohol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceridde, Glyceryl Stearate, Dimethicone, Methylparaben, Tocopheryl Acetate, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Xanthan Gum, Aloe Barbansis Leaf Extract, Morus Alba Bark Extract, Red Ginseng Extract, Propylparaben, Disodium – EDTA, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Allantoin, Arbutin, Betaine, Perfume. I’m not going to get …

things to be happy for this week My asian skincare routine I know I have recently published my current skincare routine here on my blog but for the past few weeks I’ve been buying some Korean skincare products and I ended up with a complete asian skincare routine with the exception of serums because I can’t give up my The Ordinary Niacinamide and Alpha Arbutin. I am loving the routine so far although I have yet to see that much of a result probably due to my pregnancy hormones. Nonetheless, I still enjoy my routine. I just wish I were able to use acids though. These whiteheads and blackheads need to go. Light pink iPhone and MacBook cases Pink was never really a favourite colour of mine – I prefer purple more – but recently I bought a light pink case for my phone and I really love it! I went ahead and searched for MacBook case on Shopee because that’s where everyone shops these days and found a light pink case that is very …
